JVC unveiled its new top-of-the-line Everio camcorders for 2011 with the announcement of the GZ-HM960 and the GZ-HM860. Both camcorders include 3.5-inch touchscreen LCDs as well as 10.6-megapixel back illuminated CMOS sensors, but only the GZ-HM960 has the coveted 2D to 3D conversion output feature.

JVC unveiled its first 3D camcorder today with the announcement of the GS-TD1 at CES in Las Vegas. This marks the third major manufacturer to release 3D camcorders for 2011.

Sony announced its new 2011 camcorder lineup today at CES in Las Vegas. In addition to updating most of its 2010 models, Sony also unveiled a new "video enthusiast" camcorder called the HDR-CX700V.

At CES in Las Vegas, Sony unveiled a number of new additions to its Bloggie line of ultracompact camcorders—including a new 3D camcorder called the Bloggie FS3.

Today, at CES in Las Vegas, Sony announced the HDR-TD10, the company's first 3D camcorder.
